The Achadinha (Osh-a-deen-a) Cheese Company/ Pacheco Family Ranch is a family operated ranch lead by Jim and Donna Pacheco along with their four children William, Daniel, Elizabeth and David. This family tradition began 3 generations ago in Achadinha, Portugal and Vallejo, California with both of Jim's grandfathers milking cows. In 1955 Jim's parents branched out on their own and eventually in 1969 they ended up in Petaluma where the Pacheco's are currently milking 50 Jersey cows to make their own Farmstead cheeses. They are also raising beef cows, pigs, sheep, horses, chickens, dogs, cats and ducks. discover what makes our cheeses special and why we are proud to bring them direct from the ranch to you.

Classes Offered
Upon arrival, you will roll up your sleeves, put on a hairnet, and get your hands wet with curds and whey! You will learn how to use the equipment and see the cheese aging room before being treated to a full ranch tour that includes everything from the Milking parlor to the Loafing barn. Naturally, there will be plenty of cheese tasting before lunch in our family party room.
Classes are subject to having at least 10 people per class.
*Cost: $120 per person, $110.00 without lunch

If you are coming for a Farm Tour or Class, please wear a mask and do not wear your best shoes, it is a farm!
Tours Offered
Guests will be treated to a full ranch tour that includes everything from the cheese plant, milking parlor and the loafing barns where the girls (the cows) hang out and of course cheese tastings. Tour includes: Full Ranch Tour Cheese Plant Tour Cheese Tasting Animal TLC Length of Tour is 1 & 3/4 hours.
