Garden Variety Cheese Farm Tour

Come out and meet their flock of 100 dairy sheep and see where and how they make our award winning cheeses and yogurt. You will tour their milking parlor, cheesemaking facility and aging cave, and visit with our sheep, pigs, chickens, ducks, dogs and cats. The tour concludes with a cheesetasting.

    Farm Tour with Goats and Cheese

    Group Creamery Tours of Stepladder Ranch & Creamery are 1 hour long and give you a look inside the milking parlor, a visit with the goats and insight into how cheeses are made. The tour ends with a tasting of  seasonal cheeses - all made in their creamery. Children under the age of 5 do not require a ticket. Tours are rain or shine and it is recommended that you dress to be on a working ranch - clothes you don't mind getting dirty, hats if it's sunny out and closed-toed walking shoes. This is a private family ranch and the roads are narrow, unpaved and rural. Upon booking, you acknowledge that Stepladder Ranch is not liable for any injury or accident while visiting.     Point Reyes Farm Tour

    Join us at 1:30pm for a walking farm tour and a casual cheese tasting. Enhanced Tasting Experiences available on a limited basis - Reservations required.
    DESCRIPTION:
    On the walking farm tour you'll learn the history of our farm and agriculture in the region, the life cycle (from birth) of our closed-herd of Holsteins, what Farmstead means and why it's important to us (and you!) and of course, how artisan cheese is made. Back on The Fork patio, you'll enjoy a sampling of our cheeses and have the option to visit our retail cart before you depart. Don't forget to arrive a little early to enjoy The Fork’s house-made ice cream sandwiches as you stroll through our edible garden and take photos with our baby calves. Young children (0-2 years) in pack carriers/strollers are free and do not require a ticket. ENHANCE YOUR VISIT! Enhanced Tasting Experiences available. We've re-vamped our garden patio and offer private, seated tastings (led by your very own Cheese Concierge!) following the walking farm tour.
