Farmstead Cheesemaker Short Course
Join a small group for a three-day deep dive into making cheese. Gianaclis Caldwell of Phobia Fam teaches in an easy to understand, yet science-based and art-inspired fashion that focuses on building cheesemaker intuition. During the class, you’ll make multiple cheese varieties using several types of milk, including feta, three types of pasta filata (stretched curd) cheeses, two types of bloomy rinds, and more. You’ll also have the chance to visit the milking parlor and creamery of the Spring Hill Farmstead. The class will take place inside the spacious farmhome of our host, Karin (Kuh-rinn) Eide.
750.00 (includes light breakfast, lunch, cheese tastings)

In order to ensure that all students in our small classes have the best chance for optimizing their investment in attending, we ask that everyone read and agree to the following:
- I will be respectful of other students’ level of learning.
- I will be kind.
- Politics will be left at home.
- I may have experience, but will defer questions to the teacher even if I believe I know the answer.
For many, these will be effortless, however, if you are one of those helpful souls that likes to teach, the last one might be hard! I welcome participation and sharing, but it let me be the teacher.

3 guest rooms and detached sleeping room in the forest (1 person only), 40.00 per night with shared bath. One master suite with private bath, 60.00 per night. All rates are single occupancy. Add 50.00 for 2nd person.
