Fraga Farmstead believes farming is a collaboration between soil, plant animal, and human animal. They practice what they call “herd-first farming”. The kids are raised by their goat mothers with some assistance from humans as needed. Old goat ladies retire - either on the farm – or are found encore careers as pasture pets and brush slayers.
