Let’s Get High – Cheeses of the Alps

The cheeses of the Alps are known for their hearty textures and heavenly taste. They are also some of the most nutritious cheeses to be found anywhere. They had to be, because for centuries these dense, meaty cheeses sustained many a farmer through the long, tough Alpine winter. Author Janet Fletcher will take you through a tasting of the classic mountain cheeses and explain the ancient (and quickly disappearing!) cultural practices that make them what they are.
