Afterwork Cheesemaking: Cheddar

Cheddar. For many of us, it’s the first cheese we taste. To this day, it’s all but impossible to turn down a hunk of this tangy, savory, robust delight. In this class, you’ll learn to make your own, taste the freshly made curd, then take your wee block home to continue aging under your gentle care. Professional and home cheesemaker Sacha Laurin leads.

Cheese + Beer 101

We all know the legendary bond that wine and cheese have in our minds, but have you ever sat down and really tasted beer and cheese together? If not, you should! Beer and cheese have a long history as mates, dating back to northern European monasteries of the middle ages, but only in the last decade has this trend found America. At this event, we'll be pairing five domestic cheeses with five local craft beers, and exploring the rainbow of flavor combinations that result. After all, why does wine get to have all the fun?
