Point Reyes Farmstead Farm Tour

Every Friday, May-October, from 1:30-3pm -- join a walking farm tour and a casual cheese tasting. Come a little early to enjoy a housemade ice cream sandwich on the patio and stroll around the edible garden.
 
DESCRIPTION: 
On the walking farm tour you'll learn the history of our farm and agriculture in the region, the life cycle (from birth) of a closed-herd of Holsteins, what Farmstead means and why it's important how artisan cheese is made. Back on The Fork patio, you'll enjoy a sampling of our cheeses and have the option to visit the retail cart before you depart. Arrive a little early to enjoy The Fork’s house-made ice cream sandwiches as you stroll through our edible garden and take photos with the baby calves.

Working Farm and Cheese Plant Tour

Come visit our Family Farm and Cheese Company. We start inside the cheese plant with a description of our history, why we do what we do and how we make our cheeses, while getting to see some of our cheese aging. We will then venture outside to the milking parlor then, over to visit the girls for description of our herd and their personalities.

Cheese + Wine 101

Pairing cheese and wine to bring out the best takes a little bit of science and a lot of experience. When you get it right, you know: the combination elevates what is already delicious into an experience that is truly transcendent. Get it wrong, and what should be a great cheese or wine falls flat (or worse.) In this class you'll learn some general guidelines that will help you get it right more often than wrong, and tasting tips that will help you identify your own personal favorites.
